Brandi Martin, LPC PLLC and Associates- Owner

My exposure to counseling began as a young child getting to know my school counselor. She instilled hope in kids each and every day. She provided a safe and nurturing environment where kids could be kids. The valuable lessons she taught are still with me today.

After graduating from a small town, south of San Antonio, I attended Texas A&M University in College Station. I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies which lead me to teaching 1st graders and PK-6th grade English As a Second Language students in several school districts across Texas.

While being an educator was near and dear to my heart, I knew that I was ready to continue my education in Counseling. I attended Wayland Baptist University where I received my Masters in Counseling. I completed an internship working for the SCUCISD Family Support Center where I worked with children, teens, families, and marriages.

While completing my masters degree, I had the opportunity to travel abroad with Focus on the Family to educate counselors on counseling techniques.  I also had the opportunity to present at the annual Texas Counseling Association conference on Mind Mapping.

After 15 years in education, and 7 of those as a school counselor, I loved getting to support students, families, and staff. I targeted the whole child, not only academically but socially and emotionally as well.

Being able to offer counseling services to individuals, couples, and families in a private practice setting has allowed me to help others on a whole new level. Something I am passionate about. I am currently trained in Brainspotting and Gottman Marriage/Couples Counseling.

I praise you for considering this journey and I look forward to providing you with a safe and caring environment where you can flourish, find solutions, discover peace, and live in balance as an individual, couple, or family.

I am a caring professional therapist with a background in counseling and have fourteen years of experience. I have worked with individuals of all ages, ranging from 3 to 70. I have practiced individual and group counseling with a focus on families. I use a holistic approach to counseling, focusing on the mind, body, and spirit.

I work with children and adults. I provide a safe place where it is confidential to work out problems individually or as a family.

I am a great listener, patient, positive, and kind. I feel that humor is an important aspect in everyday life.

I can provide therapy that customizes what you need, offer support, guidance and confidentiality.

I feel counseling is a collaboration relationship between patient and counselor. I feel a counselor acts as a guide for the individual and facilitates change.  I like to help people progress in their journey to healing. I enjoy helping people grow and develop into their full potential.

More about me: I like to read, play with my dogs, spend time with my family, and watch Netflix.

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor and I’m so glad you’re here!

I work with adolescents (12+ years), teenagers, and adults who are wanting to address old thought patterns, belief systems, traumatic events, and who want to feel good again!

I am a great listener, storyteller, joke teller, and human who loves to enjoy life here!

I can provide telehealth therapy that is meaningful, tailored specifically for you, and where you can be YOU. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).

I feel counseling is personal, moving, and an opportunity to look at patterns that served/protected us before….that maybe aren’t so helpful now.

More about me: I’ve felt the impact of therapy first hand and I believe that everyone is able to benefit from therapy!  As you can see below, I never miss an opportunity to highlight Harry Potter. The books helped me through particularly difficult times and I am ever grateful for the novels themselves.

Dr.Jana McLain LPC-Supervisor, Certified School Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor

My passion is working with teens, adults, couples, groups, and family therapy. I offer in office, telehealth, daytime, and afternoon counseling.

I am a great listener, patient, highly empathetic, love personal development, and enjoy watching others grow and thrive.

My approach to counseling is rooted in the work of Carl Rogers. I firmly believe that the most important aspects of counseling are the therapeutic relationship, listening without judgment, showing unconditional positive regard, and remaining empathetic. My goal is to help clients gain greater self-awareness, learn healthy coping skills, and thrive in all aspects of their lives.

I can provide therapy that is empowering, individualized, and focused on the whole person. I believe that we must work to address all areas of need in our lives to be a whole, complete person.

I feel counseling is an opportunity to delve into self-awareness and optimistic thinking. It is a space to explore your innermost thoughts and feelings without judgment.

More about me: I love to read, write, play with my kids, spend time with my family, and work on being the healthiest version of myself.

Hi! My name is Tanya Johnson and I am a LPC-Associate Supervised by Claudia Castillo LPC-S. I am also a Certified School Counselor with a Masters degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. I am currently working towards full licensure and an additional certification in Trauma Informed Yoga.

I currently work full time as an educator with military students in grades 6-12 at Lackland AFB. I have spent time volunteering for Poderosa Rising, a women’s empowerment organization and with the LBGTQIA+ population assisting with anxiety, identity, and acceptance. I work with children 8 years old through adults, couples, and integrate small group psychoeducation. I currently offer evenings and weekends, in-office and telehealth services.

I provide therapy that allows clients to heal holistically. I provide an empathic environment in which an individual feels safe being open to creating and achieving goals while being able to process the emotions involved with these changes. I utilize a variety of approaches with Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy being at the top of the list.

I feel counseling is a path to discovery and change; a means to improve YOU! As a clinician, I feel it is important to help my client see that our time together is a stepping stone to discover ways to continue moving forward in a positive direction and discover new parts of ourselves that we may not have found without help.

I am great at listening, helping, and advocating for the rights of others to live comfortably in their lives and heal from the external judgements that use to confine them.

More about me: When I am not at work, I am usually in a gym with one of my children cheering them on at one of their various sporting events or spending time with my family. I love to travel, watch a great series with my husband, or read an exciting thriller.
